(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length : 72.9 cm or 28.70 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi :  3
Width at the hamachi : 3.06 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era :Early Edo period, around Kanei era.
Shape : About 3cm Suriage, Machiokuri Katana.
Relatuvely wide and thick blade with large Sori.
The shape is nice.
Jigane : Itame Hada Hadadachi with Jinie attach.
It reminds of Hokkoku blackish blade.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha with Ko-Ashi and Nezumi Ashi.
In Ha, there are fine Sunagashi and Kinsuji.

Special feature : There is a few the first generation of Echizen Ju
Harima Daijo Shigetaka’s blade. He was born in Shinshu Iida.
He was a student of Kanenori. He lived in Echizen province.

Koshirae :
Saya : Black Roiro Saya with Inro Kizami.
Tsuba : Thin iron Tsuba, turnip is engraved with gold cloth inlay.
The rim is covered with Shakudo.
Menuki : Shells are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo, wave design is engraved.

From Aoi Art: The first generation of Shigetata was active in Echizen province. This blade looks like the first geenration of Yasutsugu and Higo Daijo Sadakuni.
This characteristic Jigane has Hokkoku Echizen Shinto features.
The blade is long and nice. The Koshirae is also good.
