Explanation:Bishu Osafune Morimitsu made this Wakizashi at
Ouei 25th(1419) August.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular
saku)

This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.

Habaki: Gold foiled and silver double habaki.
Blade length : 38.0 cm or 14.96 inches.
Sori :0.6 cm or 0.236 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi: 2.71 cm or 1.07inches.
Width at the Kissaki : cm or inches.
Kasane : 0.51 cm or 0.2inches.
The weight of the sword 215 grams.
Era : Early Muromachi 1419
Shape : Hiruchi style sunnobi tanto wide and thick with small sakizori style.
On both sides of the blade has Bo-hi and soe-hi are engraved.
Jigane :Koitame hada and mokume hada well grained with jinie attach and chikei work.
The Jigane is extreme nice Ouei bizen style Jigane.(texture)
Hamon :Nie deki gunome midare and choji midare mixed with Kinsuji work.

Special feature: Bishu Osafune Morimitsu and Yasumitsu, are 2 top swordsmiths who worked around Oei Bizen.
Morimitsu is well known at turbulent(Midareba) blades and Yasumitsu is good at straight Suguha Hamon. Both of them made extremely nice texture high-ranking sword.

Koshriae:
Saya: Reddish color, Kawari-nuri style
Tsuba: Round iron Tsuba. Kiri-mon(Family crest) and flowers are engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Brass plate. Flowers are engraved with gold color
Menuki: Brass plate. Flowers are engraved with gold color and openwork.

From Aoi Art: Both of Jigane and Hamon of this sword are wonderful. The Jigane is in good condition, Hamon is gorgeous Gunome and Choji Midare.
