This school belongs to the Hashizume school and is called Kaga Aoe. At first glance, it can be seen as Aoe because the Jigane is a Chirimen patterned Hada. But from the Jigane is the blackish and imposing blade, It can be also said the blade was made in the middle of the Kamakura period.

From Aoi Art: This blade was judged as Kashu Ietsugu by NBTHK.
From the shape of deep Sori and Ubunakago, it may seem that it was made around the Kamakura period. The Jigane also feels old.
The Hamon is Suguha with Ko Ashi. It is a dignified work that has passed more than 500 years. There are Shimi parts around the Hamachi. But the Mekugi hole is one. And you can see the state at that time. We recommend this dignified long and wide sword.
Dignified long and wide work. In my opinion, the appraisal of the NBTHK is good, and we guarantee that the blade passes NBTHK Hozon. I think it is probably a sword that has been carefully preserved as a dedication sword for shrines and temples.
