This sword belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 67.7 cm or 26.65 inches.
Sori : 1.5cm or 0.59inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi: 3.47cm or 1.366 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.03 cm or 0.8inches.
Kasane : 0.62cm or 0.244 inches.
The weight of the sword 865 grams.
Era : Heisei 2nd (modern times)
Shape: The blade is very wide(3.47cm) and thick big kizaki gorgeous
blade.
Jigane: The Jigane is well grained with jinie attach and also chikei work.
Hamon: Niedeki with thick nioikuchi Nunome midare and oginome midare,
from middle part, the Hamon is vivid wild feeling active hamon.
In Hamon, sunagashi, kinsuji work and boshi is midarekomi and turns back
sharply.

Special feature:Minamoto Moriyoshi, born Tanigawa Matsuyoshi at Yatsushiro in
Kumamoto pref. in 1920 learned under Kongobyoe Moritaka Yasuhiro and Enju Taro
Nobushige. Moriyoshi forged sword at Yatsushiro in Kumamoto pref. Hishu is an old
name of that province. Kongobyoe Moritaka Yasuhiro gave Moriyoshi the swordsmith
name Enju Nobutsugu Minamoto Moriyoshi in 1941. In the postwar Japan, starting by
forging commemorative sword called Kowakinen-to when Japan concluded the peace
treaty with the United States at San Francisco in 1952, Moriyoshi made a fresh start in
1954. He got several prizes at the annual sword-making competition held by NBTHK,
won a reputation reviving the hamon of Kiyomaro and designated as a Mukansa-tosho in
1985. He passed away in 1990, aged 70.

as Mukasa swordsmith Probably he made iron, by his own factory
by himself and used special iron.
His skill is quite nice bizen den, soshu den soshu bizen den and so
on. In particular, this work is thought to have copied the Samonji, and the metal is well-
kneaded. It’s a pity that He couldn’t become a Living National Treasure, but it was a good
swordsmith.
