Features: The first-generation Kunikane studied under Etchu no Kami Masatoshi in Kyoto by order of Date Masamune, and after returning to Sendai, the school continued its activities in the Tohoku region for 13 generations. Their work is known for aiming at the Hōshō style, characterized by a masame-hada grain and suguha.
