The blade was polished.
Habaki :　Silver single habaki.
Blade length :　59.5　cm or 23.42 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi : 　5
Width at the hamachi : 2.75 cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.6 cm or 0.23 inches.
The weight of the sword: 500 grams.
Era : Muromachi period around Meio era.
Shape : Regular width and thickness Wakizashi with large Sori.
Bo-Hi is engraved both side of the blade.
This blade is Katate Uchi that was popular at the time.
Jigane : Ko Mokume Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
There are clear Utsuri. There are Kizu in the Hi of both side.
Hamon : Ko Nie Deki, Choji Midare and Choji Midare.
In the Ha, there are many soft Ko-Ashi, Yo, and Kinsuji.

Sspecial feature:The founder of 　Bisyu Osafune Katsumitsu started Ouei era to Eisyo. It is said at Bunmei era, Japan exported a lot of Japanese swords to China. He was a son of Rokuro zaemon Sukemitsu and called Ukyo suke Katsumitsu and his young brither Munemitsu is also quite well known sword smith.
This blade is called shiireuchi but both the Hamon and also Jigane are quite well done. This blade has some parts that have ben reduced by polishing. But it is not serious. The condition of the Jigane is good. There are nice Utsuri and beautiful Choji Midare.

Koshirae :
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Tsuba : Round shape iron Tsuba,there are Tekkotsu on the rim.
lightning and drums are engraved with openwork. Owari Tsuba.
Menuki : Hotei god is engarved with gold and silver color.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako, Shishi dog and peony are engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: At that time, Katate Uchi swords became popular because of the horse-riding battle. That is around 2 Shaku(60cm) and short Nakago. This blade is 59.5cm which is almost the Katana size. We recommend this Wakizashi which evaluated as Saijo Saku, Ozawamono.
