The blade was polished.
Habaki: silver single habaki.
Blade length: 21.3 cm or 8.38inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi: 2,5 cm or 0.98inches.
Kasane: 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
The weight of the sword: 145 grams.
Era: End of Muromachi period.
Shape: Thick Yoroi Doshi style Tanto. It looks like Tosa’s Yoshimitsu.
Jigane: Ko-Itame-Hada well grained, Shirake Utsuri is visible.
Hamon: Niedeki Suguha mixed with Gunome-Midare. Sori is sharp round shape.
Special Feature: There are a lot of sword smiths name Masatsugu so we can not identify
who is this, but from the style, sword with Utsuri and long Nakago, we think it is Mino
sword smith and worked around end of Muromachi period.
Koshirae: Navy Koshirae
From Aoi Art: Different from Army swords, most of Navy sword was sink in
the sea. The sword was go to battle filed and come back
safely and kept until now, we recommend you this rare
sword.
