Special Feature: Uda is founded by Ko-Nyudo Kunimitsu in the late Kamakura period. In the Nambokucho period, sword smiths like Kunifusa, Kunimune, and Kunitsugu flourished and their prosperity lasted to the late Muromachi period. We call works of Uda in Nambokucho period as “Ko-Uda”(meaning old Uda). They are originally from Yamato Kuni Uda Gun, and their works have the characteristics of Yamato and Soshuden.

Koshirae: Tachi-koshirae. It is supposed to be made after the Meiji period. Well-made.

From Aoi Art: This sword has Shinogiji, Hadame becomes O-Itame, mixed with Masame; you can feel its Koto-ishness, if you take a closer look at this work. The blade is broad and has slightly deep Sori and longer Kissaki, powerful shape. As for Kitai, Itame mixed with Mokume, and there comes Subashiri, Sunagashi, and Kinsuji. It is a real masterpiece we truly recommend for you.
