This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold failed J single habaki.
Blade length : 67.8 cm or 26.69 inches.
Sori :1.9 cm or 0.74 inches.

Width at the hamachi 2.75cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.88cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.26 inches.
The weight of the sword 595 grams.
Era : Middle Muromachi period.
Shape : Regular width and thickness Katana with deep Sori.
Jigane : Itame Hada and Mokume Hada well grained with Jinie attach. There are Chikei. The Jigane is clear.
Hamon : Choji and Ko Gunome Midare Hamon.
In the Ha, there are many Ko Ashi, Kinsuji and Yo.
Boshi is Midarekomi pointed shape. There are Utsuri appear.

Special feature: Kashu Katsuie is a founder of Darani school.
He was called Saburouemon. He was the son of Echizen Chiyozuru school Kunitsugu.

From Aoi Art: The Jigane is very good and the Hamon is Ko Choji Midare, we can feel the oldness of the blade at the glance but it was judged as Kashu Katsuie, which is not so famous school.
Katsuie started in 1452 and continued to around the late Muromachi period Genki era.
In later generations, they made swords with not-so-high quality iron so their blades Jigane become rough these days.
But this work is from the middle of the Muromachi period, which is close to the early generation work of Katsuie.
