Width at the hamachi : 3.15 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.52 cm or 0.99 inches.
Kasane : 0.61 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Heisei 14(2002)
Shape : The blade is thick and wide and engraved bo-hi on both sides of the blade.
Jigane :Koitame hada and massage had and also chikei work.
Hamon :Niedeki gunome midare with Ashi.

Special feature : Masanao was born Natata Katsuro
at Seki City in Gifu pref. in 1943. His father Nakata Isamu was also a swordsmith forged sword under the name of Kanehide as a Jumei-tosho of the Japanese army during wartime. Masanao learned under his father Kanehide since 1963 and got the Nyusen prize at the annual sword-making competition held by NBTHK.
Masanao’s sword is well received among the people interested
in Iai-do because of the sharpness.
The blade has some scratches. But the Jigane and Hamon are beautiful. The Koshirae is made in modern times.

Koshirae: modern time.
Tsuba: Mokko shape iron Tsuba, bamboo with gold and silver inlay.
Fuchikashira: Iron, bamboo with gold and silver inlay.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki: Shakudo, the butterfly is engraved with gold color.
