Kasane : 0.74 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Edo period. around Kanbun era.
Shape : Regular width and thickness, nice shape Naginata.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha Hamon.

Special feature : Hiroshige was one of a representative swordsmith clan in Shitahara of Bushu province. It is of uncertain origin but the workmanship was influenced by Soshu School. The clan prospered present Hachioji city in Tokyo. It is said that the first generation Hiroshige established a branch family of Terushige in 1561 or after. The clan served the O-ishi famly, the Hojo family and the Tokugawa family and continued to the end of Edo period. Hiroshige forged more naginatas than Yasushige and Terushige in the same line.
