The blade was polished.
Blade length :22.7 cm or 8.93 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.22cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane :0.51 cm or 0.20 inches.
The weight of the sword 125 grams.
Era : End of Muromachi period. Tai-ei era
Shape : Small Mitsumune style Tanto with regular width and thickness.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada well grained, Jinie attached and Shirake Utsuri visible.
Hamon : Hamon on both side is same. Gunome-Midare go up and down. Kinsuji worked.

special feature: Masashige is Senko Muramasa’s student. He usually make Tanto and his style is same as Muramasa.

Koshirae : Aikuchi style
Fuchikashira: Iron plate. Flower pattern is engraved.
Saya: Black Ishime plate.
Menuki: Shakudo plate. Flower is enraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: Masashige is swordsmith of Senko school and is student of Muramasa.
His style is same as his master. It is a pity that the Hamon of the Boshi a little weak,
but the Nakago is beautiful and the Jigane is wonderful. A lot of his sword was passed NBTHK Juyo Token,
his works are popular as Muramasa swords.
