Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae.(NBTHK Hozon Token)
Signature: Mumei (unsigned) attributed as

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku, and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: copper single habaki.
Blade length: 66.7cm or 26.26 inches.
Sori :2.0 cm or 0.79inches.
Mekugi : 4
Width at the hamachi : 2.7 cm or 1.06 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 1.85 cm or 0.73 inches.
Kasane : 0.53cm or 0.21 inches.
The weight of the sword 580 grams.
Era: Early Muromachi period 1428.
Shape: The blade is regular width and small thickness with deep sori and rather longer kissaki elegant shape.
Jigane: The blade is ko-itame hada well grained with jinie attach and utsuri appear.
Hamon :Niedeki suguha and notare hamon mixed and double hamon,
Uchinoke with small ashi, yo work soft Habuchi.

Special feature: The Uda school is said to have originated
in Yamato province. The founder Kunimitsu moved to Ettyu province
in the last Kamakura period. It is said that his son,
Kunifusa learned under Norishige who created a peculiar texture
of jitetsu compounded soft and hard iron commonly called
matsukawa-hada or Norishige-hada in Japanese.
Consequently, the texture of jitetsu is a point worthy of appreciation of Uda School that was very good at making use of well-tempered iron’s
special qualities. Especially conspicuous chikei appeals us strongly.

Koshirae : Handachi Koshirae.
Saya :On the red color saya, black spots are painted Kawarinuri saya.
Tsuba :On the shakudo plate, some Chuji flowers are engraved.
Menuki : On the shakudo plate, a gunboat is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira: Kojiri, On the shakudo plate,
Choji flower t is engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art : The sword is oosuriage mumei with deep sori elegant shape which has passed about 600 years of ages.
The blade has some lose hada but not serious.
On the sinogiji, some kitae ware masanagare.
This Uda school is tight item compare with regular Uda school
the hamon is acceptable as Uda school.
Koshirae is also very nice condition.
