Era : Edo period Kanbun era
Shape : Wide and thick blade with deep Sori and longer Kissaki. Bo-hi are engraved on both side.
Jigane : Itame-Hada well grained. Jinie attached beautiful Hada.
Hamon :From Hamachi, Suguha then Choji-Midare.
Ashi worked. Boshi is Sansaku style round shape
Special feature: Shigetaka the Second forged this Wakizashi.
He was a pupil of Shigetaka the First in Echizen province. The clan continued eleven generations until the last of Edo period.
This sword is typical 2nd generation Shigetaka.
Koshirae: Handachi style.
Tsuba: Mokko style Tsuba with gold Fkurin. Leves are engraved.
Fuchikashira; Koziri, Kurikata: Shakudo plate. Flowers are engraved.
Saya: Deep brown color with Black pattern.
Kozuka: Shakudo Nanako plate. Dragon is engraved with gold color.
