The blade was polished.

Habaki: gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length:43,8 cm or 17.2 inches.
Sori: 1.4cm or 0.55 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.47cm or 1.36 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.93cm or 1.15inches.
Kasane : 0.76cm or 0.29 inches.

Era :Edo period Keicho era (Around 1600)
Shape : Very wide and thick sword. Sori is shallow but Kissaki is longer.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada well garained, Jinie attached. Hadame is visible.
Hamon : Niedeki Notare Gunome-Midare. Thin Kinsuji and Sunagashi is visible. Boshi is Ko-Niedeki round shape.

Special feature: Echizen Kanetane is sword smith who worked around Edo period Keicho era. His sword style is same as Yamato Daijo Masanori like this sword.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Round iron Tsuba. Could dragon is engraved with gold color. Mei: Echizen Kinai
Fuchikashira: Iron plate. The dragon design is engraved with gold color.
Menuki: Shibuichi plate. A hermit and dragon is engraved with gold inlay.

From Aoi Art: Very thick and wide Wakizashi. It was judged as Kanetane in Tokubetsu Kicho paper. We agree with it and we think it can pass NBTHK Hozon. Koshirae is high quality one. The Tsuba has mei as Echizen Kinai, we think this is genuine.
