Explanation: This Bisyu Osafune Sukesada made this sword at Daiei 5Nen August.1525, August 20th.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyo-jyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo-jyo ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: copper single habaki
Blade length : 64.0 cm or 25.1 inches.
Sori :2.5cm or 0.98 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.97cm or 1.16inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Kasane:0.76 cm or 0.29 inches.
The weight of the sword 610 grams.

Era: Muromachi period Dai-ei era. August 20th 1525
Shape: Wide and thick sword with deep Sori and longer Kissaki, Katate-Uchi style Saya.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada and Mokume-Hada mixed and there is also a little Masame. Utsuri is visible.
Hamon: Niedeki Suguha, Ko-ashi, and work, Boshi is round shape.

Special feature: There are 2 types of Sukesada sword. One is engraved his Zokumyo, which mean the sword was made very carefully. Another is engraved with Mei Bizen Osafune Sukesada like this sword, which mean the sword is mass products. But his swords which was made around Dai-ei era was used very high-ranking Tama-Hagane. This swords Jigane quality is very nice and Hamon is also clear.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Owari style Tsuba.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo plate. Dragons are engraved with gold color.
Menuki: Shakudo plate. Dragons are engraved with gold color.

From Aoi Art: Katate-uchi style short Katana but Sori is deep. Jigane was used high-ranking Tama-Hagane and Utsuri is visible. Hamon is Suguha with Ko-Ashi.
Koshirae is not high ranking one but it is artistic. The sword was made in battle in the Muromachi period. We recommend the sword for you.
