Signature: Hitachi no Kami Yoshishige (Muneshige 2nd generation)

saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Kawari style Habaki
Blade length : 56.3 cm or 22.1 inches.
Sori : 1,7 cm or 0.66 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.15 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.25 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane :0.76 cm or 0.29 inches.
The weight of the sword 650 grams.
Era : Edo period Genroku period.
Shape : Wide and thick sword. Sori is deep and Kissaki is loger. Good shape sword.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-Hada well grained. Jinie attached Osaka style Jigane.
Hamon : From Hamachi. Suguha then Doranba style.

Special feature: Muneshige 1st generation was a student of Sukehiro and he was good
at making Doranba sword. Mumeshige 2nd generation was made swords at Tobu during
peace period so his swords is for appreciation. 2nd generations first stage, he caked
Hitachi kami Yoshishige and then he changed his name to his father’s name. Probable
he succeeded his father s family.

Koshirae :
Tsuba: Owari style clock Tsuba.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Nanako plate. Karakusa pattern is engraved.
Saya: Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki: Tiger is engraved with gold color.
