generally, Mino sword makers do not engrave Uramei(Nango)on the
sword. it is rear.

From Aoi Art: Many swords were produced in Mino (Seki), but strangely, it is said
that there are quite a few swords produced in Mino, but fewer than Tanto. I’m going to
look closely, but the inscription(Zaimei) sword is unexpectedly unexpected. The current
situation is that there are very few works that have a uramei(Nango)This sword has
Uramei very clearly and also signature is also engraved carefully.
The Jigane iis well kneaded and becomes a very wild feeling Jigane of the Seki style,
and the blade special feature is unique that first Gunome Choji Midare and became
straight hamon.
Probably at that time, we often see similar blade patterns in Bizen, so it is thought that it
was a fashion, and such blade patterns are occasionally seen in the late Edo period. In
general, there are many works in Mino that have rough Jigane, but this work is perfectly
nice Jigane.
