explanation: The sword was made by Seiryuken Moritoshi in May Genji first year(1864).

This sword belongs to Jyo Jyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Copper single Habaki.
Blade length: 69.2cm or 27.24　inches.
Sori : 1.7 cm or 0.66 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi: 3.1 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.71cm or 0.27 inches.
The weight of the sword 720 grams.
Era : Later Edo period Genji.
Shape: The Nakago is long the blade is regular width thickness with suitable sori anfd longer kissak.
Jigane: Koitame hada well grained with Jinie attach beautiful fine texture.

Special feature: Moritoshi was born Seiemon Iwamoto in 1802 in Boshu province, present
Yamaguchi pref. He became a pupil of Chounof
Tsunatoshi at Edo in 1837. After getting hold of acquire to temter the sword, Moritoshi
went back to serve the Kikkawa family at Iwakuni. The relationship between Tsunatoshi
and Moritoshi has grown closer over the years. Tsunatoshi the Second, a son of
Tsunatoshi the First learned under Moritoshi.

The characteristic is that the Nkasgo shape is longer and wider than the usual sword

disorder, and the Choji midare have improved sharpness.
When I often visited the house of famous author Mr Hosono, He wrote the three
samurai when I was young, he often talked about the sword He was served as the Navy
officer, He said that the blade Seiryuken Moritoshi was the sharpness was an outstanding
sword. It was I still remember the blade pattern even right now.
