Era: mid Muromachi period, circa 1500.
Shape: long blade with ittle difference in width between the base and tip. The curvature is slightly deep, and the kissaki is somewhat elongated.
Jigane: Itame and Mokume covered with fine nie and chikei.
Hamon: pointed gunome midare with nie making sunagashi.
Features: Shiga Seki refers to swordsmiths who moved from Mino to area called Shiga, present day Nagoya City, and were active from the middle to the late Muromachi period. Among them, Kanenobu is regarded as a particularly skilled swordsmith and continued for several generations. This blade is long and substantial, with a well-proportioned and robust shape. The well-forged jigane is particularly fine, showing delicate Chikei throughout.

Fuchikashira: Shakudo base with inlaid paulownia family crest and arabesque.
