Sayagaki:
Etchū no Kami Masatoshi. A work in the style of the first-generation Shizu and one of his outstanding masterpieces. Blade length: 2 shaku 2 sun 1 bu. Written by Dr. Kanzan on a summer day in Showa 34 (1959). (Kaō).

Shape: A robust blade with a wide mihaba, deep curvature, and a broad kissaki.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with a beautifully refined jigane.
Hamon: Nie-deki gunome-midare. The boshi is gently undulating and turns back in a small rounded form (komaru).

Features: Etchū no Kami Masatoshi was the fourth son of Seki Kanemichi and is regarded as the most accomplished swordsmith among his brothers. This blade is a fine Shizu-utsushi.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Mokko-shaped iron tsuba with a high-relief carving of a dragon among clouds, highlighted with gold iroe.
Fuchikashira / Kojiri: Iron with engraved decorative patterns.
Saya (Scabbard): Vermilion stone-textured lacquered saya.
Menuki: Bow and arrow motif carved and decorated with gold iroe.
