An excellent work of Nosada.
Blade length: 2 shaku 3 sun 3 bu.
One of the swords handed down in the Uesugi family.
Written by Dr. Kanzan (kao),
on an auspicious day in the spring of 1965.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku).
This blade is ranked as Jyo Saku among the works of Izumi no Kami Fujiwara Kanesada.
Habaki: Double gold-foiled habaki.
Blade Length: 2 shaku 3 sun 3 bu — 70.6 cm (27.80 in).
Curvature: 6 bu 5 rin — 2.0 cm (0.77 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.99 cm (1.18 in).
Width at Yokote: 2.55 cm (1.00 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.55 cm (0.22 in).
Sword Weight: 650 g.
Shape: A well-proportioned katana with bohi carved on both sides and a long kissaki.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada producing a fine-quality jigane.
Hamon: Nie-deki gunome-midare with abundant ashi. The boshi continues in midare and turns back in a small rounded form.

Features: This sword is accompanied by an appraisal paper issued by Mr. Tokuno, as well as a sayagaki by Dr. Kanzan. However, Aoi Art does not recognize the signature as genuine. Accordingly, prospective purchasers are asked to understand and accept this point before making a purchase. The blade itself is sound and has been professionally polished.
