This blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Hizen no Kuni Ju Hiroto.

Habaki: Single gold-foiled habaki.
Blade Length: 46.1 cm (18.15 in).
Curvature: 2.5 cm (0.98 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.92 cm (1.15 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.78 cm (0.31 in).
Sword Weight: 745 g.
Era: Around the Shotoku era (1711 CE), mid Edo period.

Shape: A slightly long naginata with its original unsigned tang (ubu nakago).
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada characteristic of the fine Hizen jigane.
Hamon: Nie-deki notare-ba with active ko-ashi. The boshi follows the notare pattern and turns back gracefully.

Features: Hizen no Kuni Ju Hiroto (read Hiroto) is regarded as a member of the Tadayoshi school of Hizen Province. His works are relatively scarce and therefore highly desirable. This naginata is a fine example of his craftsmanship, distinguished by its excellent workmanship and beautiful Hizen jigane.
