This blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Ishido Ukon Masatoshi.
Habaki: Single copper habaki.
Blade Length: 50.4 cm (19.84 in).
Curvature: 1.2 cm (0.47 in).
Mekugi Hole: 2.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.18 cm (1.25 in).
Width at Yokote: 2.31 cm (0.91 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.70 cm (0.28 in).
Sword Weight: 575 g.
Shape: A wakizashi with a wide mihaba, thick kasane, and an elongated boshi.
Jigane: Well-forged, tightly compact ko-itame hada forming a beautiful jigane.
Hamon: Beginning with suguha at the hamachi, the hamon transitions into gunome-midare mixed with choji-midare. From the monouchi toward the tip, the choji pattern becomes even more pronounced. The boshi continues in midare.
Features: This is a robust wakizashi with a substantial mihaba. Although there are some minor forging openings (kitaware) and small flaws, the workmanship is excellent, and the hamon is particularly impressive. Ishido Ukon Masatoshi was a swordsmith of the Kishu Ishido lineage, and this blade displays a style reminiscent of the works of Yasuhiro of Bitchu.
