Features: This sword has a broad mihaba, giving it a robust and powerful shape. The sayagaki attributes the blade to Norishige, however, during the late Edo period, swordsmiths such as Nakayama Ikkansai Yoshihiro and Tachibana Enryushi Kunihide admired the style of Go Yoshihiro or Norishige, producing blades with large, prominent patterns and strongly textured jigane. We believe this sword is likely an example of that type of work.
