Shape: A stout tanto with a substantial mihaba and thick kasane, displaying excellent proportions.

Hamon: Nie-deki with rounded gunome intermixed. The boshi is slightly pointed and returns in a long ko-maru form.

Features: Uda Kunimune belonged to the Uda school, a distinguished group of swordsmiths that flourished in Etchu Province (present-day Toyama Prefecture) from the Nanbokucho period through the Shinto period.
