Features:
O-Sa, the teacher of Sa Yoshikichi, was a swordsmith from Hakata during the Nanbokucho period and is counted among the Ten Great Disciples of Masamune (Masamune Jittetsu). Departing from the traditional Kyushu style, he incorporated the Soshu style and established a distinctive workmanship characterized by bright and brilliant jigane and hamon, enriched with vivid chikei and kinsuji. His disciples, collectively known as the Sue-Sa —including Yukihiro, Yoshisada, Kunihiro, Hiroyuki, Hiroyasu, and Sadayuki—inherited their master’s style and carried on the flourishing style.
