Shape: thick Tanto
Jigane: Itame and Mokume with intense grain patterns.
Hamon: Nie base pointed Gunomemidare with Sunagashi.
Features: This tanto was made in Mino during the middle to late Muromachi period. The hamon features the characteristic pointed midareba associated with Seki workmanship. The jigane is particularly striking, displaying prominent chikei that create an attractive surface texture.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: made of bronze, carved with plants
Fuchikashira: Shakudō ground with a vine design.
Kozuka: Plain copper ground with a horse design.
Kogai: Plant motif with silver inlay.
