Shape: slightly thin wakizashi with Shobu-zukuri
Jigane: koitame and mokume with fine Chikei.
Hamon: Ko-nie base broad gunome-midare
Features:
The jigane is well forged with a tightly compacted grain, and fine chikei are beautifully visible throughout the surface, creating an elegant appearance. The hamon is a gently undulating midare pattern, giving the blade a distinctive and impressive character. Although the swordsmith’s identity is unknown, this work is thought to have been forged by a smith of the early Edo period.
