Carved in high relief on a shakudō ground is a design of flowers and a Daihachi-guruma (traditional Japanese handcart). The Daihachi-guruma, once an indispensable means of transporting goods in everyday life, symbolizes diligence and honest labor. It has long been regarded as an auspicious motif representing prosperous business and the smooth progress of one’s endeavors.
