(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku).
The workmanship of this sword is ranked as Jyojyo Saku (upper superior grade) among works by Kanemichi (Seki).
Habaki: Double-layer silver-covered habaki.

Curvature: 0.1cm (0.04in)

Kasane: 0.57cm (0.22in)

Era: Muromachi period, 15-16th century
Shape: A stout tanto with slightly thick kasane and a well-proportioned, robust shape.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with a faint utsuri appearing.
Hamon: The hamon on both sides is of similar pattern.
The nioiguchi is deep, forming a gunome-midare.
Toward the upper section, the hamon becomes more suguha-like with mixed gunome elements.
The boshi turns back in a rounded form.
Features: This type of double-edged hamon (nijuba) is often seen in high-quality Bizen works made by smiths using common names.
The jigane is excellent, and the hamon is outstanding as well.
This is a tanto that can be highly recommended.
