This work ranks as Jyo Saku for a Mumei (Kaneharu) piece.
Habaki: Single-layer plain copper Habaki.
Blade Length: 39.6 cm (15.59 in).
Curvature: 0.9 cm (0.35 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.90 cm (1.14 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.42 cm (0.17 in).
Sword Weight: 410 g.
Era: Around the Koji era of the Muromachi period (1555-1558).
Shape: A piece with slightly wide width and solid thickness, originally a shortened naginata.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with refined steel quality.
Hamon: Rounded gunome midare. The boshi is midare-komi, pointed, and turns back at the tip.
Features: This wakizashi was originally a nagamaki that was shortened. The hamon is well executed with active irregular patterns.
Koshirae:
Tsuba: Mokko-shaped iron tsuba.
Fuchikashira: Plain copper ground carved with figures.
Saya (Scabbard): Superb dark brown saya with carved texture.
Menuki: High relief design of cranes with gold-colored decoration.
Kozuka: Plain copper ground depicting a Hannya mask and pine tree.
Kogatana:
Kojiri: Plain copper ground carved with an old man on the rear side.
