Habaki: Double-layer silver habaki.
Blade Length: 54.3 cm (21.38 in).
Curvature: 1.3 cm (0.51 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.33 cm (1.31 in).
Width at Yokote (Sakihaba): 2.37 cm (0.93 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.70 cm (0.28 in).
Sword Weight: 585 grams.
Era: Edo period, around Kanbun era (1661-1673).
Shape: A solid wakizashi with wide width and thick kasane.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada tightly forged, forming a beautiful jigane.
Hamon: Starts with suguha from the hamachi, then changes into gunome-midare with ashi, and the boshi turns back in a rounded manner.
Features: Yamato no Kami Yasumichi originated from Mino and was also active in Owari.
Aoi Art’s Comment: This work is a healthy and solid wakizashi with excellent thickness and a wide mihaba of 3.33 cm (1.31 in). The workmanship is excellent, and it is highly recommended. It can be said that during the Kanbun era, magnificent and powerful works were in fashion.
