Shape: A tachi with ubu nakago and deep curvature, exhibiting a graceful sugata.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada with utsuri appearing.
Hamon: Nioi-deki, gunome-midare with active ko-ashi and kinsuji.
Era: Mid-Kamakura period, around 1264.

Features: Yoshimochi of the Ichimonji school is said to have been a disciple of Ichimonji Sukeyoshi, with theories placing his activity in the Bunryaku (1234–1235), Kencho (1249–1256), and Bun’ei (1264–1275) eras.
This Ichimonji Yoshimochi is an ubu work with elegant curvature; although there are some areas of standing grain, it is a piece from no later than the mid-Kamakura period, with a boshi that is midare and returns in a small circle.
Having only one mekugi-ana is extremely valuable.
It is also notable that the blade was polished and inscribed on the scabbard by the प्रसिद्ध Honami Koson.
