Inscription: Mumei(Unsigned)(judged as Kozori, 小反り)

We divide works in to Saijo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku,and Regular Saku.
This piece is ranked as Jyojyo Saku for Mumei(Kozori school).

Habaki: silver single habaki
Blade Length: 64.0cm ( in)
Curvature: 1.9cm (in)
Width at Base(Motohaba): 2.53cm(in)
Width at tip(Sakihaba): 1.91cm(in)
Thickness: 0.46cm (in)
Blade Weight: 490g

Era: the early Muromachi period
Shape: Slightly think O-suriage Mumei blade with sharp Kissaki.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada with utsuri
Hamon: Ko-nie base regular Gunome midare with pointed Boshi.

Features: Kozori was a swordsmith school in Bizen Osafune from the Nanbokucho period to the early Muromachi period aroune Ouei.

Koshirae: Toppei style Koshirae with silver fittings
Tsuba: Silver plate carved with a picture of a plum tree, a waterfall and figures.
Fuchikashira: silver plate, carved with trees and figures with color inlay.
Kojiri: silver plate with a picture of a pine tree and an old man.
Menuki: a picture of an old man riding on horse back and a dragon.

From Aoi-Art: The silver and green color uniform Koshirae is nice. The figures on the fittings are supposed to be part of a story. The sword is old and interesting piece.
