This blade is ranked as Jyo Saku among the works of Kanai Minamoto Nobushige.
Habaki: Double silver habaki.
Blade Length: 19.6 cm (7.72 in).
Curvature: 0 cm (0.00 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.13 cm (0.84 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.68 cm (0.27 in).
Sword Weight: 125 g.
Era: Late Edo period, around the Keiō era (1865–1868).
Shape: A rather short tanto with slightly thick kasane.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with clearly visible grain.
Hamon: Rounded ko-gunome-midare with active ko-ashi and fine kinsuji. The boshi turns back in a rounded form.
Features: Kanai Minamoto Nobushige was a swordsmith of Musashi Province who was active during the closing years of the Edo period.
Koshirae:
Saya (Scabbard): Black roiro lacquered saya decorated with a family crest in gold maki-e.
Menuki: Shakudo ground with a high-relief kirin motif, highlighted with gold iroe.
