Tanto in Shirasaya with Koshirae.(NBTHK Hozon Token)

Signature: Mumei attributed as Kaifu.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular
saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : silver single habaki.
Blade length : 18.4 cm or 7.24 inches.
Sori :0 cm or 0 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 1.76 cm or 0.69 inches.
Kasane : 0.45 cm or 0.17 inches.
The weight of the sword 65 grams.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape: The style looks Kanmuri otoshi.
Jigane:Koitame Hada well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon: Konie Deki, Suguha, from Monouchi area, togri Gunone
Boshi is turn back round shape.

Special feature:Kaifu school was active in Awa Tokushima province,
from middle Muromachi period. They made cut well blades.
Most of them were called Katakiriba style which is rather strong looking.
The signature was mostly engraved on the blade
so it is rare to see signature on the tang.
The Jigane is bright and has deep Nioikuchi.

Koshirae: Matsushiro koshida.
Saya:red color saya.
Fuchikashira, Kojiri is nice awaho designe are engraved by brass.
From Aoi Bijyutsu:Tanto is small size loos like Kanmuri otoshi style
unusual shape. Matsushiro Koshirae is also nice.
