This blade is ranked as Jyojyo Saku among the works of Fujiwara Yoshikuni.
Habaki: Double copper habaki.

Shape: A robust wakizashi with substantial mihaba and thick kasane. It has an elongated kissaki and bohi carved in the style often seen on naginata. The blade has deep curvature and a powerful overall appearance.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada with a smooth, almost mujihada-like surface.
Hamon: Nie-deki gunome-midare resembling the crashing waves of a rough sea. The boshi continues in a midare pattern before returning, with the temper extending into the shinogi-ji.

Features: The NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon certificate identifies this blade simply as “Province Unknown, Shinto.” It is a robust and healthy example displaying excellent workmanship.

Tsuba: Thin, round iron tsuba with an openwork cherry blossom design.
Fuchi: Shakudo nanako ground carved with chrysanthemum flowers and highlighted with gold iroe.
Kashira: Shakudo ground carved with waves and decorated with gold iroe.
Saya (Scabbard): Glossy black lacquered saya.
Menuki: Shell motif decorated with gold and silver iroe.
Kozuka and Kogatana: Wooden, carved with a notched pattern and a cross-shaped family crest.
