(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo Saku, Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku).
This sword is ranked as Jyojyo Saku (high-grade work) among the works of Yusui Shin Sadayoshi.
Habaki: Gold-plated single Habaki.
Blade Length: 76.0 cm (29.92 in).
Curvature: 2.4 cm (0.94 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.29 cm (1.30 in).
Width at Yokote (Sakihaba): 2.45 cm (0.96 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.64 cm (0.25 in).
Sword Weight: 855 g.
Era: Showa 54(1979).
Shape: A sword with a wide mihaba and thick kasane.
Bo-hi grooves are carved on both sides.
It has deep curvature and an extended kissaki.
Jigane: Well-forged ko-itame hada, producing a fine-quality steel surface.
Hamon: Nie-deki.
Gunome-midare with active kinsuji and occasional sunagashi.
The boshi is midare-komi.
Features: Yusui Shin Sadayoshi was born in Tokushima Prefecture in 1908.
His real name was Enomoto Sadakichi.
A disciple of Gassan Sadakatsu, he moved to Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture, in 1943 and forged swords using the spring water flowing from Mt. Fuji.
Although he temporarily ceased swordsmithing after World War II, he resumed around 1951.
He received numerous awards, including 4 Encouragement Awards, 4 Effort Awards, and 6 Exhibition Selections, and was active as a Mukansa (non-examined) swordsmith.
He was a versatile smith capable of producing works in a wide range of traditions, including Soshu-den, Bizen-den, Mino-den, and Yamato-den.
He also possessed the skill to create works displaying the ayasugi-hada inherited from his teacher, Gassan Sadakatsu.
He passed away in 2000 at the age of 92.
