Shape: The blade is wide with thick kasane, deep curvature, and an extended kissaki.

Features: Yasutake (real name: Yakuwa Takeshi) was a swordsmith born in Yamagata Prefecture in 1909. He was a disciple of Ikeda Kazumitsu(Yasumitsu). In 1935, he joined the Nihontō Tanrenkai and forged swords within the precincts of Yasukuni Shrine. In 1944, he was granted the swordsmith name “Yasutake” by the Minister of the Army.
After the war, he continued his work as a swordsmith and achieved excellent results at many awards. In 1981, he was designated as Mukansa (above judgment), recognizing his outstanding skill and achievements.
