Shape: relatively short blade with short tang.
Jigane: packed Jigane looking plain.
Hamon: Nioi-deki Gunome and pointed Gunomemidare with fine Sunagashi and kinsuji.

Features: Fujiwara Takada refers to swordsmiths from Bungo Takada who were active from the late Muromachi period to the early Edo period. While Takada works are often similar to Bizen blades, this piece as well features a flamboyant gunome-midare temper pattern. Compared to Bizen works, however, the jigane is more tightly forged, giving it a plain, muji(plain)-like appearance.

Koshirae:
tsuba: iron base
Fuchikashira: On the shakudo-nanako base, monkeys are depicted.
Menuki: shakudo base, a motif is unknown.
