Hirosada was a Hizen smith said to have been a student of the 1st-generation Tadayoshi and is also believed to have been his brother. The second-generation Hirosada is regarded as a student of Harima Daijo Tadakuni.

This blade exhibits the characteristic tight and bright jigane typical of Hizen swords. The hamon is particularly noteworthy, featuring a fine gunome-choji pattern with abundant ashi and yo working throughout, resulting in a rare and highly attractive temper line. Although the carving is likely a later addition, it leaves a strong and impressive presence.
