Habaki: Silver-covered single Habaki

Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.23 cm (1.27 in).
Width at Yokote: 2.19 cm (0.86 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 2.19 cm (0.86 in).
Sword Weight: 795 g.
Era: Edo period, around Kanbun (1661–1673).
Shape: Wide mihaba with thick kasane and a standard kissaki.
Bo-hi is carved on both sides.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame well forged, resulting in a refined steel.
Hamon: Pointed gunome forming sanbonsugi.
The nioiguchi is deep, soft, bright, and clear.
Features: Iyo Daijo Tachibana Katsukuni, also known as Matsudo Zensaburo, initially signed as Katsushige.
In 1661 he received the title Iyo Daijo and changed his name to Katsukuni.
He passed away on June 8, 1672.
He consistently admired the 2nd generation Kanemoto and achieved workmanship close to that tradition in both jigane and hamon.
He is especially known for his sanbonsugi hamon.
A highly regarded swordsmith ranked among the O Wazamono for its excellent cutting ability.

Fuchikashira: Shakudo ground with carved autumn insects, finished with gold inlay.
Saya (Scabbard): Aogai scattered lacquer.
