This work is ranked as Jyo Saku for Mumei (Echizen Shinto).
Habaki: Single-layer copper.
Blade Length: 40.7 cm (16.02 in).
Curvature: 1.2 cm (0.47 in).
Mekugi Hole: 1.
Width at Base (Motohaba): 3.27 cm (1.29 in).
Thickness of rim (Kasane): 0.98 cm (0.39 in).
Sword Weight: 470 g.
Shape: A wakizashi in shobu-zukuri style, engraved with a dragon and Fudo Myo-o in flames.
Jigane: Fine ko-itame hada, well compacted, forming a refined steel.
Hamon: Nie-deki, with a slightly deep nioiguchi, the boshi returns in a small rounded form, with tama-yaki.
Features: This piece is thought to be the work of a swordsmith from the Echizen area. The engraving of Fudo Myo-o in flames on the reverse side is particularly well-done.
Koshirae: Modern.
Tsuba: Iron tsuba in tate-maru shape with openwork of a tanuki and bunbuku chagama.
Fuchikashira: Plain copper ground with bonji (Sanskrit characters).
Saya (Scabbard): Black roiro lacquered saya.
Menuki: Dragon design.
