Habaki: Single-layer silver.
Blade Length: 73.2 cm (28.82 in).
Curvature: 1.2 cm (0.47 in).

Shape: The blade has a wide mihaba and solid kasane, with bohi grooves carved on both sides. The kissaki is extended, giving the sword a well-balanced and impressive shape.
Jigane: Nie-deki with a gunome-midare pattern. The kissaki is large, and the sword is made slightly lighter in weight, making it suitable for Iaido practice.
Hamon: Nie-deki gunome-midare. The boshi is also midare.
Features: Higo Koku Ju Akamatsu Taro Kanehiro, whose real name is Kimura Hibiki, lives in Yatsushiro City, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu. He produces iron through his own steelmaking method and forges swords using a unique technique. Swordsmiths of the Akamatsu line include Akamatsu Taro Kanetsugu, Kanehiro, Kanehiro, Kanemitsu, and Kaneyuki. The characteristic of the Akamatsu family is the bold and powerful style often seen among Kyushu swordsmiths. During the Edo period, Motohira and Masayuki followed this style. In the Showa era, the Mukansa swordsmith Moriyoshi also continued this tradition. Today, the Akamatsu family produces similarly bold works and long blades modeled after Kiyomaro.
Koshirae: Modern fittings.
Tsuba: Mokko-shaped tsuba engraved with waves and horses. Signature: Oki Mizumimatsutatsu.
Menuki: Tadpole design.
Fuchikashira: Carved cherry blossom design.
Saya (Scabbard): Black roiro lacquer saya.
Aoi Art’s Comment: Although this blade has a long length, it is lightweight at 750 g. It has a very manageable weight and should be easy to use. The koshirae uses modern fittings. It is recommended for those who intend to use it for Iaido practice.
