Mekugi Hole: 2
Width at Base (Motohaba): 2.98 cm (1.17 in)

Era: Late Muromachi period
Shape: slightly wide blade tapering toward the tip with Suriage Machiokuri. There is a Hagire.
Jigane: Ko-itame hada with rough Jigane.
Hamon: Ko-nie deki pointed Gunome with Sunagashi.
Features: Although this blade is unsigned, it is considered to be a work of the Sue-Bizen school based on its characteristics.
It did not pass NBTHK Shinsa due to the presence of a hagire (edge crack). The location of the hagire is indicated in the last image. As shown, it is extremely slight and difficult to discern even with the naked eye.
The jigane and hamon show some signs of tiredness, but the blade is thought to be an old work from the late Muromachi period. It has a relatively long length with graceful curvature, giving it an attractive overall shape.
AoiArt estimation paper: Whole Oshigata.
Please note: The price does not include the international shipping fees.
