Features:
Hizen Kawachi no Kami Masahiro signed as Musashi no Kami Masanaga during his father’s lifetime, and after his father’s death, around Kanbun 18 (c. 1678), he received the title of Kawachi no Kami and changed his name to Masahiro.
Unlike many other Hizen smiths, he favored forging midare-ba (irregular temper patterns). This wakizashi has a solid and powerful shape, with abundant nie visible in the jihada and hamon, presenting a brilliant and lively appearance. It is a healthy blade of fine workmanship.
