This work is ranked as Jyo Saku (high grade) for Oku-Shirakawa ju Munetoshi.

Curvature: Uchizori (slight inward curvature)

Shape: A tanto with a thick kasane, relatively long proportions in relation to its width, and an uchizori (inward curvature).
Jigane: Ko-itame hada looks plain
Hamon: Nie-deki, suguha

Features: Koyama Munetoshi was of the same lineage as Koyama Munetsugu, and the first-generation Munetoshi is said to have been Munetsugu’s elder brother. They were active in Oshu Shirakawa over two generations. This is an appealing work distinguished by its shape.
