Shape: Katana with slight carveture
Jigane: koitame hada with much Jinie and little rough grain patterns.
Hamon: Konie base Gunome and Choji midare with thick NIoikuchi, muchi Ashi and Tama(circle).
Features: The first-generation Ōmi no Kami Hisamichi was a student of the second-generation Iga no Kami Kinmichi and is known as a representative smith of the Mishina school, a prominent group of Kyoto shintō swordsmiths. This work has a date inscription of Kan’en 1 (1748). This piece shows a bright and well-executed workmanship, with both the jihada and hamon richly covered in nie.
