Era: the mid-Muromachi period, circa 15th century
Shape: wide and slightly thick O-suriage Mumei blade.
Jigane: blackish Jigane　with intense grain patterns.
Hamon: Ko-nie base Suguha with Koashi and Kinsuji and Sunagashi.

Features: The Uda school originated in Yamato Province’s Uda District and later moved to Etchu Province.
Their founder is considered to be Ko-Nyuudo Kunimitsu from the late Kamakura period.
Prominent smiths such as Kunifusa, Kunimune, and Kunitomo followed, and the school prospered until the Edo period.
Works made before the early Muromachi period (before 1394, the beginning of the Oei era) are classified as Ko-Uda, and those made later are referred to as Uda.
